Easter 2006: The promise of resurrection
The greatness of this love also appears by the greatness of those enjoyments which are bestowed upon believers as the fruits of it: there is the pardon of sin; and peace with God is an infinite benefit, because 'tis a freedom from the eternal wrath of God, which is an infinite evil; there is sanctification, the Spirit of God which is given; there is the merciful and watchful care of providence in this world, there is eternal glory, a crown of life which is promised them; and there is the resurrection and glorification of the body, and so the eternal glory of the whole man with Christ. Seeing, therefore, the love of Christ has been so wonderful to you, see that you admire it, and praise and glorify God for it. Don't forget what great and wonderful things God has done for you.
